We are very excited to invite you to a session hosted by the team behind the BSF Small Grants Project - Auto Akka and the Hot Seat. Session: Translating Climate Research into Children's Books: Auto Akka and the Hot Seat Venue: Bangalore Design Centre, Church Street Date: 06 August, Thursday Time : 1030am-1230pm A note on the session from the team: How do we create stories on climate change that connect with younger audiences? In this session, we’ll dive into the making of Auto Akka and the Hot Seat, a bilingual children’s storybook exploring urban heat in Bengaluru through the eyes of auto rickshaw drivers. We’ll share the journey from on-ground field research with drivers to narrative development and visual design, showing how research can step outside academic silos to engage a much broader public. The session will feature a brief presentation on the book development process, and a short reading of the book! The session will also include an open ended discussion on tools for engagement.
