Lets give Bengaluru Lakes the care they need
Bengaluru once had a thousand lakes. Today, fewer than 210 remain and every single one is under pressure from waste that never should have reached the water in the first place.
On Sunday, 20 September, BlueDot and Plastic Fischer are bringing that change to Madiwala Lake. This is the flagship event of World Cleanup Day 2026 - a plogathon (walk, jog, and clean) around the lake and the TrashBoom site that's already intercepting plastic before it reaches the water.
Along with the Plogathon, we will also have live music performance to celebrate the moment that we showed up, we cleaned our lakes.
