The Government has set up a review committee under Justice Guhanathan Narender on the proposed GBIT township near Bidadi. Every citizen can send a written objection by email. The more emails the committee receives, the stronger our case.

Why we object:
1️⃣ Farmers lose their livelihood. About 9,600 acres of fertile farmland belong to 5,000+ farmers, and families have farmed it for generations.
2️⃣ The people have already said no. Farmers have protested peacefully for more than 500 days.
3️⃣ The environmental damage can't be undone. Nearly 2 lakh trees face felling, including coconut, arecanut, mango and chikoo, and the region's groundwater recharge would be lost.
4️⃣ Bengaluru loses food production. Ragi, paddy, red gram and horticulture crops are grown on this land.
5️⃣ There's a precedent. The Government dropped acquisition of 1,777 acres in Devanahalli, and Bidadi deserves the same.

Subject: Objection to GBIT project in Bidadi Hobli
Respected Member Secretary,
With reference to your Public Notice dated 23.09.2026, I object to the proposed Greater Bengaluru Comprehensive Suburban Plan (GBIT) in Bidadi Hobli and Vaderahalli village.
The project will destroy the livelihood of over 5,000 farmers, cause irreversible loss of nearly 2 lakh trees and groundwater recharge, and end food production on fertile farmland. The farmers have opposed it for more than 500 days.
I request the Committee to recommend that the project be dropped completely.
