Perfectly Good
Our mission We want a Bengaluru where affordable food is easy to find and food waste is rare. That means giving restaurants a simple way to sell surplus at a fair price and giving customers a transparent way to buy it. Every listing shows exactly what you are getting so there is no guesswork. Why Perfectly Good exists Nearly 40 percent of the food produced in India is wasted at some point on its journey to a plate. In cities like Bengaluru you can see the effect every evening when kitchens close with trays still full. The food is fresh. It is safe. It just needs a home. On the other side, eating out has become expensive. Students, young professionals and working families feel it every week. Perfectly Good is our answer to both problems at once. The food waste problem Food waste is not just a moral loss. It is a climate problem. Wasted food carries every litre of water and every unit of energy that went into growing it. Once it hits a landfill it releases methane, a gas that traps far more heat than carbon dioxide. Rescuing one meal quietly cancels a chain of hidden costs. Our vision Great food should be affordable. Great restaurants should not have to choose between throwing food away and giving it away for free. We are building a network where the two sides help each other by default. Bengaluru is our first home. Other Indian cities will follow.
